From july 1944 the M1942 paratrooper uniform specifically for US airborne troops was replaced by the more practical M1943 uniform with special rigger cargotrousers for extra storage. This jacket was the basis for the layeringsystem from there on. 

Nearly all of US paratroopers wore this particular uniform during Market Garden with a few exceptions of the 82nd Airborne regiment who wore their M1942 uniforms in order to stand out.

This particular jacket has a US size 44-46 and comes complete with rank, divisionpatch and hood. It has a nicely worn and used finish
