Genuine WWII US special friction tape, manufactured by Boston Woven Hose camp; Rubber Co. in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The Chatterton tape was issued as part of the paratroopers demolition kit (see picture #2 in manual Technical Training of Parachutist) and often used by airborne troops to reinforce their personal equipment and gear.
The present roll is complete and untouched.
Comes in its original cardboard box, dated April 1943.
