Denison smocks werden in WW2 geïntroduceerd en zijn een kopie van de door de duitsers geïntroduceerde knochen sack van de parachutisten. Deze aangeboden Denison smock is een absolute rariteit. Het is een smock gemaakt voor de Admiraliteit. Zoals op het label is te zien is deze gemaakt door L. Silberston & Sons in 1957. Het is een grote maat 7. Het patroon is prachtig en alle studs en flap is in uitstekende kwaliteit.
Deze smock is zeer goed door een WW2 reenactor te gebruiken en heeft enkele kleine veld reparaties. In 40 jaar verzamelen van British and US Airborne materiaal ben ik deze geen tweede keer tegengekomen. Ik heb deze smock nu 32 jaar in mijn bezit en is alle jaren onderdeel geweest van een static display.

Denison smocks were introduced in 1942 and are a copy of the paratroopers' knochen sack introduced by the Germans. This Denison smock on offer is an absolute rarity. It's a smock made for the admirality. As shown on the label it was made by L. Silbertson & Sons in 1957. It is a large size 7. The pattern is beautiful and all the studs and the flap are in excellent quality.
This smock is very good for using at a WW2 re-enacment and has some minor field repairs. In 40 years of collecting many British and US Airborne material I have not come across this a second time. I have owned this smock for 32 years now and it has been part of a static display for all years.
